Protecting the world’s wildest places
With Nuii, every adventure begins in an extraordinary place!
Australia holds a special place in our story: it’s where our very first creation was born, the Australian Salted Caramel & Macadamia. This wild and fascinating land has inspired us from the beginning and reminds us how precious nature truly is.
That’s why Nuii is committed to protecting Australia’s biodiversity, and especially the koalas, a fragile symbol of this unique ecosystem. Preserving their habitat means preserving the possibility of experiencing exceptional adventures for years to come, in the place where it all started for us.
Nuii is not just about indulgent, generous ice creams: it’s also about protecting the places that make our adventures possible.
Our Mission
Koalas are facing extinction across the east coast of Australia due to disease, habitat destruction, vehicle strikes, dog attacks, bushfires, flash floods and more. Koalas could become extinct in large areas of Eastern Australia as early as 2025 without intervention.

How we can help
Currumbin Wildlife Hospital is one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world, admitting over 16,000 wildlife patients each year, including endangered koalas. At Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, 60% of Koala admissions are due to chlamydia, a bacterial infection and one of the largest threats posed to the Koala’s survival.
Saving endangered Koalas is a priority for Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and the vet team are part of a world first Koala Chlamydia Vaccine Research Program. Four hundred and fifty Koalas have now been vaccinated against chlamydia, with 38 joeys and six “grand-joeys” born among the vaccinated population.
Nuii has donated well over $320,000 AUD to koala conservation since the 2020 Australian Bushfires. In 2024 we sponsored two essential diagnostic pieces of equipment at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, the PCR and Plate Centrifuge that will be used extensively on all Koalas that go through the Intensive Care Unit.
In 2025, Nuii supports the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital by funding essential equipment to care for injured koalas. This includes: a new intensive care unit, a dedicated rehabilitation area, key medical tools (infusion pumps, oxygen therapy), and monitoring equipment to track koala recovery. These initiatives help provide better treatment and increase the chances of rehabilitating koalas back into the wild.
In 2026, we will continue our commitment to help and protect koalas:
Thanks to a Nuii’s donation of more than $20,000 AUD, we will plant 1,300 new eucalyptus trees to help feed the koalas cared for at the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.
A single koala can eat the leaves of up to 1,000 eucalyptus trees every year: a powerful reminder of how essential continuous replanting is to meet their needs.
Today, the hospital relies on around 38,000 eucalyptus trees across its plantations, but because these trees are harvested daily, the supply must be renewed regularly to ensure fresh, high‑quality leaves.
This is especially important since koalas are incredibly selective eaters, particularly when they are sick or recovering from injury.
Why not join the adventure with us?
By joining the Tree to Me program, you can directly contribute to planting new eucalyptus trees and supporting the koalas on their road to recovery. A simple gesture that truly makes a difference for an iconic species. Discover the program on this link.
